Who knows, when you need an excuse to wet a line one of them might come in handy. You can find fish in rivers, lakes, streams, fresh water, and salt water basically anywhere that there is water you can find fish to catch.
My Dad told us stories of dancing northern pike, muskies almost 6 feet long and pickeral to fill the freezer for the kitchen table, those were the days. Fishing also get's you out in nature. As a matter of fact, I personally use ultra light rods and reels, but nothing heavier than light action should be used for rainbow trout fishing.
Casting might look simple, but its a very important skill that needs to be mastered if your going to be a successful bass fisher. Spend more time educating yourself about the largemouth bass and less time educating yourself on what your favorite pro is fishing with and you will start catching bigger and better bass. If you go in the middle of summer then you are not likely to catch any and are only going to sweat and not catch anything at all.
Extreme care should be taken when wading in general, one slight misstep, can send you into the river, dangerous all year, this is multiplied by the cold air temperatures in the winter. Though some have more time than others, everyone can squeeze in a little fishing now and again to help take the edge off of the stresses of everyday life.
